"For the soft people who like to twist my words and message, this is another one you can twist! If you are looking to pull every ounce out of yourself, you will not be balanced. That’s a hard fact. It will take early mornings, late nights, shit, for that matter, days foregoing sleep, disappointing friends and family, etc.

Allow yourself to feel the way you feel! Allow yourself to go against the grain! People who don’t have the same want as you, will never understand who you are and what you are trying to accomplish, most of all, the discipline it will take to accomplish it.
Once again, this message is not for everyone. Those of you who are looking for a good work-life balance, I hope you truly find and enjoy it.
For those of you who are looking to be the very best at what you do, the teeter-totter of life may be stuck at the fucking top.
If you are looking to graduate school at the top of your class, you will likely not enjoy the same social life of your friends. If you are looking to be the next CEO, you may forego your four weeks paid vacation on your journey to the top. If you are looking to do an IronMan, marathon or some other ultra race, your mornings and weekends will be shot.
That is the dedication and sacrifice required to be your best, to attain lofty goals, and not succumb to mediocrity. Lofty goals require lofty sacrifice.
It’s important while you are young and healthy and unencumbered to put everything you have into bettering yourself. It will eventually make you better for the people who are in your life when you do become balanced. And trust me, there will come a time in your life where you will be balanced!
